Red Sox Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Milwaukee

This is a 1975 MLB Season Replay using Out of the Park Baseball

April 9, 1975

The Boston Red Sox knocked off the Milwaukee Brewers, 7-3, at Fenway Park. Fred Lynn, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Boston won. The center fielder was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win gives the Red Sox a record of 1-1. Lynn came through with some timely hitting for Boston. With the score 0-0 in the bottom of the fourth and no one down, Lynn hit a 2-1 fastball for a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season made it 1-0, Boston. "Good to get a win," said Lynn, "but it's a long season."

The Red Sox will travel to Baltimore next. Roger Moret will get the start after the fay off. The Orioles will go with Mike Torrez. The Orioles are 2-0 on the season
