1986 Season Replay: Red Sox Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus Chicago





April 11, 1986

The Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Comiskey Park. Getting an impressive start from Al Nipper, Boston beat Chicago by the score of 7-2. Nipper got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 7 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Nipper allowed 2 earned runs.

Dwight Evans, who is a eight-time Gold Glove Award winner, aided the Boston cause with a 2-run single in the top of the second. For the game, the right fielder was 1 for 3 with 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs.
