The Red Sox bashed the Rangers last night and the bashing should continue tonight. Chris Sale takes the mound for the Red Sox and Martin Perez gets the ball for the Rangers.
Red Sox 9 Rangers 5
Vegas likes the Red Sox big tonight and that can be mostly attributed to Chris Sale. The Red Sox are -265 on the moneyline and even when they give the Rangers 1.5 runs they are still favored at -125. Our simulation agrees.

News and Notes
Sam Travis will make his debut tonight as Mitch Moreland gets day off. This will be the plan going forward. Travis will play first base against lefties and Moreland will play against righties. Hanley Ramirez? Don't look for him to be holding a first baseman's glove anytime soon. Travis is slated to bat 7th tonight.
Chris Young is also in the lineup tonight and that is testament to his outstanding numbers against Perez. Young is 4-7 with a homer and a double lifetime against the lefty. Young will be in LF, batting 5th. Andrew Benintendi moves to CF and will bat 6th. Jackie Bradley gets the night off. Elvis Andrus, Shin-Soo Choo and Mike Napoli have combined to face Chris Sale 68 times but have managed just six hits and one homer collectively off of him. They have also struck out 24 times, that is 35% of the time. It should be a good night for the Red Sox
