Is Dabo Swinney thinking about a future in the front office of an NFL team? It seems that way as Dabo gave his unsolicited advice to the Cleveland Browns when it comes to Deshaun Watson:
“He comes to every meeting prepared,” Swinney said. “That’s how you change things, you change the culture, through...for me it’s through discipline and recruiting, staffing and all that stuff. For them, it’s decision-making, it’s who you pick. And I’m just telling you: They pass on Deshaun Watson, they’re passing on Michael Jordan. I mean, I don’t know what the heck I’m talking about, I’m just an old funky college coach, but Deshaun Watson is the best, by a long shot.”
Last summer Dabo had this to say about Watson;
“He could make a 53-man (NFL) roster this summer. You just don’t see many guys who can process the game like he can, and can throw the football like he can. He plays 6-5.”
Actually, that quote is from 2010 and it wasn't about Watson, it was about Kyle Parker. Maybe those Cleveland Browns will rely on their own scouts instead of Dabo on this decision.
